At present i use ubuntu 9.10 (karmic koala).
where i write javascript's program code..... and how 2 compile that.... and how 2 Run that????
I have already loaded "Sun java 6.o plugin / Runtime" ....from free ubuntu software center....

As of ur using ubuntu 9 , there is mozilla provided with it . Make sure u've got the latest version Java Runtime Environment installed.Then there is no problem..u can directly write in ur code in a HTML document and run it with mozilla. Because javascript needs no compiler..it is processed directly by the browser.
